The revolutionary solution for straight teeth.

Invisalign® in Royal Oak, MI

A convenient and discreet way to address crooked teeth, Invisalign® Clear Braces allow you to go about your daily routine without the hassle associated with traditional braces.

As with any dental procedure, the road to straight teeth begins with a consultation. When you visit us here at our Royal Oak dentist office, we will perform an evaluation and diagnosis to make sure Invisalign® is right for you.

During this process, you can expect x-rays, pictures, and impressions to be taken of your teeth. Invisalign® will take this and create a 3D image of your teeth, which allows us to create the right treatment plan for you.

Your personalized treatment plan includes custom-made aligners designed just for you. Crafted from BPA-free plastic, they’re gentle on your gums and cheeks. Wear your aligners throughout the day, including while eating, to ensure optimal results. Just remember to remove them only when brushing or flossing.

You will receive all of your aligners at the start of your treatment, giving you the convenience of managing your progress independently. Regular checkups are not required; you only need to come in for routine cleanings or if you encounter any issues or fall off track. To ensure the best results, keep your aligners on for 20-22 hours each day throughout your treatment.

Invisalign® FAQs

Discrete | Because Invisalign® is clear, you can remain confident as your smile improves. Unlike metal braces, people will hardly even notice that you’re wearing clear aligners!

Smooth and Comfortable | The aligners are plastic, and don’t cause irritation in the way that traditional metal braces do.

Removable | These aligners are easy to take off, and easy to clean. Not to mention they allow you to eat and drink whatever you want! No need to worry about food getting stuck in your brackets and wires.

Confidence and Self-Esteem | Studies have shown that orthodontic treatment causes a significant increase in self-esteem and quality of life1. Having straight teeth also affects others’ perception of you. People with straight teeth are perceived as healthier, happier, and even smarter than those without.

Even though you can hardly tell if someone is wearing them, Invisalign clear braces are effective in treating a wide variety of orthodontic conditions. If you have any of the following orthodontic problems, you may be a candidate for Invisalign:

  • Overbites
  • Crossbites
  • Underbites
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Gap teeth
  • Rotated teeth
  • Crowded teeth
  • And more!

The duration of Invisalign treatment typically ranges from 6 to 18 months, depending on the complexity of your case and your specific alignment needs. With Dr. Shari’s optimized plans, this timeline is often significantly shortened. Her innovative approach streamlines the process by providing all trays upfront, reducing the need for multiple appointments, and maximizing efficiency. By minimizing chair time and focusing on personalized treatment strategies, Dr. Shari ensures that patients achieve their desired results as quickly and smoothly as possible, without compromising on the quality of care.

Many plans contribute—we’ll verify your benefits.

Yes, you will need retainers to maintain your results long term. Retainers are essential because once your Invisalign treatment is complete, your teeth can naturally begin to shift back to their original positions over time. Wearing a retainer helps stabilize your teeth, keeping your new smile aligned and preserving the progress you’ve made. Depending on your specific case, you may need to wear your retainer full-time initially, transitioning to nighttime wear as recommended by your dentist. Consistent use of retainers is a simple yet vital step to protect your investment and ensure your smile stays beautifully aligned well into the future.
